Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026.
This website is run by [to be confirmed: registered company name] (registration number [to be confirmed: company registration number]), [to be confirmed: registered address]. That company is the responsible party for the personal information described here.
1. What this site collects
Nothing from you directly: the site’s pages have no forms, analytics or advertising, and reading them sets no cookie in your browser.
You can join our list by sending an email to hello@hunhu.co.za. We keep your email address, and the email you sent, only to tell you when the first hunhu boxes can be ordered in South Africa. We keep them until you ask us to remove them: write to the same address and we delete both.
It keeps scroll positions in this tab’s session storage, so going back returns you to the same place on a page. Your browser clears them when you close the tab, and they are never sent.
It remembers your light or dark display setting in this browser’s local storage, under the
names mode-watcher-mode and mode-watcher-theme. They hold only that setting, stay on your
device and are never sent.
2. When the app opens
The hunhu app is not open yet, and this site has no sign-in. When the app opens, signing in to it will set one cookie, which holds your session. Scripts in the page will not be able to read it, and it will be sent only to the app. It will last seven days, renewed while you use the app, and signing out will remove it.
For each session we will keep a record of when it ends, the IP address it signed in from and the name of your browser, so you can see your signed-in devices on your account page and sign them out. Each sign-in will be written to an audit log with the IP address it came from, to protect your account.
Inside the app, a cookie will keep your time zone and, if you choose one, another will keep your choice of a 12- or 24-hour clock, so times show as you read them.
When something breaks in the app, it may send an error report to our error-tracking service, through our own server. A report will say what went wrong and on which page. It will never carry your IP address or your cookies; when you are signed in, it may carry the app’s own number for your account, never your name or email address.
3. What our host logs
The site is served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it records the IP address of each visitor, with the browser and the time of the request, in its server logs. It keeps those logs for the period set out in its own privacy policy. An IP address can identify a person, so we tell you: it is used to deliver and protect the site.
4. Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Send the request to [to be confirmed: email address for data requests]; it is answered by [to be confirmed: Information Officer]. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
